Today (10th October) is World Mental Health Day.

This day was first celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health, a mental health organization in the world with members and contacts in more than 150 countries.

India and South American nation in Ecuador have signed an agreement to establish a Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) to strengthen trade relations between countries.

  • The JETCO will function as the main forum for discussion and other promotional activities on trade and investment issues and will meet once every two years.
  • The first meeting of the JETCO is proposed to hold early next year in India.

Indirect tax revenue (temporary) collections increased by Rs 46.224 crore in September 2014 to Rs. Crore 61,284 in September to 2.015.

  • This is an achievement of 50.6% of the target for BE 2015-16.

Development banks including the World Bank pledged an additional $ 15 billion per year by 2020 to fight against climate change, taking the world by the clutch target of $ 100 billion.
