Last communication satellite GSAT-15 from India has successfully launched from the spaceport of Kourou in French Guiana.

The amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere reached a new record in 2014, according to a new report by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

  • The report, titled Greenhouse Gas News, said that between 1990 and 2014 there was a 36% increase in radiative forcing – the warming effect on the climate – because of the long-term greenhouse as carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide from industrial, agricultural and domestic activities.
  • The bulletin explains that atmospheric CO2 concentrations reached 397.7 parts per million (ppm) in 2014 and the global annual average is likely to pass the symbolic 400ppm in 2016.
