The Union Ministry of Interior has notified new set of rules to “regulate” official visits of Governors outside their States requiring the prior permission of the President and put a 73-day limit in a year that the duration of these visits.

  • The new set of rules 18 points notified by the Ministry of Interior said governors should remain in their respective States for at least 292 days in a year
  • Note: Changing the Governors (Allowances and Privileges) Regulations, the MHA February 10, 2015 issued a notification that all governors station visits require the prior approval of the President.
