The Union Cabinet has approved the program Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) continuation of fifteen operational flights of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle PSLV-C36 in PSLV-C50, allowing the launching of satellites required for Earth Observation, navigation and space science as well as the opportunity to win contracts for commercial launch services.

  • The total capital requirement is Rs 3090 crores and includes the cost of fifteen vehicles PSLV, program components, program management and launch campaign.
  • He will meet the demand for launching satellites at a frequency of four to five launches per year, with a greater emphasis on improving the level of participation of Indian Industry.
