British physicist Stephen Hawking is getting his name trademarked, joining the ranks of celebrities like J.K. Rowling and David Beckham, who have turned their names into brands. He has also applied to get his name trademarked for charitable purposes, giving him the option of setting up a foundation, such as one to promote physics or for research into motor neurone disease, which has left him paralysed. His trademark would cover computer games, powered wheelchairs, greetings cards and health care.

52nd edition of the beauty pageant

Gurgaon girl Aditi Arya was crowned Femina Miss India 2015 at the 52nd edition of the beauty pageant. Reigning Miss India Koyal Rana, enthroned her successor Aditi with the crown made by PC Jewellers. 21 contestants from across the country participated in the beauty contest. The first and second runners-up were Aafreen Rachel Vaz and Vartika Singh respectively.
