Under the Agnipath Scheme, the IAF inducts youth as Agniveervayu for a service period of four years. The Indian Air Force has officially released the notification for Agniveervayu Intake 01/2027. This recruitment drive is open to unmarried Indian male and female candidates who aspire to serve the nation in the skies. Selected candidates will undergo rigorous training and serve for a duration of four years, after which they will receive a comprehensive Seva Nidhi package. Up to 25% of each batch will be considered for permanent enrollment in the IAF based on merit and performance.

Age Limit for Agniveervayu 2026

• Date of Birth Block: Candidates must be born between 01 January 2006 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive).
• Upper Age Limit: 21 years on the date of enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria for IAF Notification 2026

• Marital Status: Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible.
• Medical Standards: * Height: Minimum 152.5 cm (Male), 152 cm (Female).
  • Chest: Well-proportioned with a minimum expansion of 5 cm (Male).

Salary and Benefits: IAF Agniveer Package

Agniveers will receive a customized monthly package with annual increments:

• 1st Year: ₹30,000/- (In-hand: ₹21,000)
• 2nd Year: ₹33,000/- (In-hand: ₹23,100)
• 3rd Year: ₹36,500/- (In-hand: ₹25,580)
• 4th Year: ₹40,000/- (In-hand: ₹28,000)
• Exit Benefit: After 4 years, a Seva Nidhi Package of approx. ₹10.04 Lakhs (plus interest) will be provided.

Selection Process for IAF Recruitment 2026

The selection is conducted in three distinct phases:

1. Phase I: Online Written Examination (Objective Type).
2. Phase II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Adaptability Test-I, and Adaptability Test-II.
3. Phase III: Mandatory Medical Examination.
