IIT Guwahati had fixed the JEE Advanced 2016 dates on May 22, IIT Guwahati has set the date of the examination of JEE Advanced 2016, which is the most coveted national test engineering input conducted for admissions to undergraduate programs prestigious IITs and ISM Dhanbad. JEE Advanced 2016 dates

Candidates can choose the question paper means to be either in English or Hindi. A candidate is allowed to write JEE Advanced for up to twice; too consecutively. To ensure admission to IITs and ISM, a candidate must either be in the top 20 percentile category wise in XII class or must have obtained at least 75% of the total marks for general and OBC-brands NCL or 70% of aggregate for SC, ST and PWD candidates.

Update News: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, announced that JEE Advanced 2016 will take place May 22, 2016 (Sunday). Paper-I will be held 9: 00-12:00 IST and the Paper II is scheduled 14:00 to 17: 00 IST.

JEE Advanced 2016 Eligibility Criteria

The official website of JEE Advanced 2016 was published. This year, IIT Guwahati will conduct the examination, under the supervision of Common Admission Board (JAB). So far, all the information about the exam has not been announced. However, some crucial details were revealed. According to information, the exam will take place May 22, 2016 and will consist of two documents. Both Paper I and Paper II will take place on Sunday from 9:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 17: 00, respectively. JEE Main

JEE Advanced 2016

The common entrance examination (JEE) Advanced is a major step forward for JEE. It is conducted for the admission of candidates in UG engineering courses in IITs and ISM, Dhanbad. However, various other institutes also consider the score of the examination for granting admission. The Joint Admission Board (JAB) announced that the candidates will have the choice to write the JEE Advanced examination in Hindi or English. Each candidate is entitled to two consecutive attempts. This year, foreign national (POI and OIC included) can also write the paper. However, these candidates will not be eligible to host reservation. Only top 1.5 lakh playoffs main JEE 2016, who either were in the top 20 percentile or owned a total of 75% marks in the qualifying examination will be allowed to take the exam. Trying times, Paper-I and Paper-II was mandatory because the two brands will be considered to determine the ranking.

JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria Details

The applicant must be in the top 1,50,000 (all categories) in JEE Main 2016.

Percentages of the total number of candidates for the various categories: 50.5% for the general (common merit list), 27% for OBC, 15% for SC and 7.5% for ST. within these categories (3% horizontal reservation PwD

Age limit

Candidates must be born after 1 October 1990 (GEN or OBCs) or from 1 October 1985 (SC, ST and PWD).

Number of attempts

Candidate may attempt JEE Advanced 2016 for a maximum of two years consecutively.

Education / qualification examination

  1. The candidate must have passed in class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2015 or 2016
  2. In the qualifying examination, candidates must either category were among top 20 percentile or have obtained 75% of global marks. The criteria of SC / ST / PWD is 70%.
  3. Those wanting appeared in 2015 and reappeared in 2016 (either for improvement or due to failure in one or more subjects), are necessary to reappear in 2015
  4. Candidates who appeared in 2014 did not qualify for the exception being those which result for 2013-14 was declared after June 2014

Prior Admission in IITs/ISM

The candidate who is already admitted to IIT or ISM is ineligible for admission.

The candidate who is being prepared in one of the IIT in 2015 is eligible.

JEE Advanced 2016 Admit Card

JEE Advanced 2015 Admit card will be issued in May 2016, on the official site. Admit card with incorrect information may affect your application, so it is advisable that candidates shall ensure that all details are correct in it. We will also propose that the candidates do not make manual changes, as it could hinder the application.

To download the JEE Advanced admit cards, candidates can access the link above and then submit the registration number, date of birth and E-mail ID / mobile number. On the subject ID or mobile phone number, the message to download the admit card will be sent to admit.

JEE Advanced 2016 Exam Pattern

  1. The examination shall be held in offline mode.
  2. There will be two documents under consideration – Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  3. Each document should contain three sections – physics, chemistry and mathematics
  4. The questions will be multiple choice type and digital type of response
  5. Language medium of the question paper – Hindi or English
  6. Negative marking will be shown but only in certain matters
  7. Applicants must mark their answers using black ball point pen in the OMR answer sheet

Note: The choice of language (Hindi and English) must be indicated when filling out forms. Provision to change the choice, when completed, will not be provided.

JEE Advanced 2016 Answer key and ORS Display

  2. ORS along with machine read responses and marks will be displayed
  3. You can file review on sensing any discrepancy. Request for the same has to be put online
  4. You must pay Rs. 500 per question for review

JEE Advanced 2016 Merit list

  1. To merit list, only candidates who appeared for both documents will be reviewed
  2. Physical marks in the examination will be equal to the marked paper marks in Physics Paper 2 1 more
  3. Same algorithm will be followed for chemistry and mathematics
  4. Aggregate marks will be sum of marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  5. Merit list will be prepared based on the overall marks in JEE Advanced 2016
  6. Merit Lists for the preparatory courses will be created only if the number of SC, ST and PWD
  7. candidates in the respective merit list is less than 1.4 times the total seats in the respective categories
  8. A candidate who qualifies for more than one category will be represented in all the categories it belongs to
  9. No waiting list to be issued for the classification
  10. Only candidates who obtain the minimum marks prescribed in each subject in each paper and in total will be enrolled
  11. Minimum required marks vary by category

Tiebreaker Mechanism

In case aggregate marks by two or more candidates are same, a tie-break mechanism will be followed.

  1. Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate with higher math scores
  2. Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate with higher marks in physics
  3. If the problem has not been resolved, the same rank will be affected

JEE Advanced Selection Mode

Admissions must be made on the basis of the score in examination (two documents). The higher the score is the best opportunity for admission. An inter-se merit list will be created to select the most deserving candidates. You must meet all the following criteria for admission to IITs and ISM –

It is in the top 20 percentile category wise Winners Class XII or equivalent exam.

It must obtain 75% (for GEN or CBOs) or 70% (SC, ST and PWD) aggregate marks in Class XII or equivalent exam.
