Nurse Indian BE HONOURED IN Singapore

Dr Devi Subadhra Rai, a nurse and professor at the School of Health Sciences (Nursing) at Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore, has been appointed for the 2015 International Achievement Award from the Florence Nightingale International Foundation (FNIF) of the International Council nurses. Rai was selected as the recipient of awards for his outstanding work in the health of women and refugees.

Tata Steel Trophy Won Prime Minister for 8th time

Tata Steel has been conferred with the Prime Minister’s Trophy on April 2 in Rourkela to be the “Best Performing Integrated Steel Plant” in the country during the year 2010 Performance – 2011. In recognition of outstanding performance of the Company, the Premier Trophy was presented by the Prime Minister the Honorable India, Narendra Modi, the TV Narendran, Managing Director, India and Southeast Asia, Tata Steel. The Company was judged as the best steel for the eighth time since the award was established in 1992-1993.

McCullum Received Sir Richard Hadlee Medal

New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum was named the winner of the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal 2014-15. McCullum won the award for its outstanding performance as a player and captain during the 2014-15 season. The highest honor of Cricket New Zealand was presented to him during the New Zealand Cricket (NZC) Award Ceremony was held in the capital of New Zealand Auckland.

Andhra Pradesh Cabinet approved Amaravathi as state capital

 Andhra Pradesh Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has approved this Amaravathi will be the new capital of the state. The capital will come to Tullur in Vijayawada-Guntur region of the state. The name of Amaravathi as the state capital was finalized for its historical significance, spiritual and mythological.

New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum was honored Sir Richard Hadlee Medal, the highest distinction of the country cricket for his inspiring and exemplary leadership batting at a glittering ceremony in Auckland.

McCullum led the Kiwis in their first World Cup final where they lost to Australia by seven wickets at a packed MCG on March 29, but won a million fans with their entertaining show throughout the event 50- over piece.
